Bolaji Ayobami Mikky is an astute legal practitioner with over ten years’ experience spanning corporate governance, company secretarial practice, compliance, and commercial law. She combines technical expertise with practical advisory skills, supporting boards and executives to strengthen governance structures, manage regulatory risk, and enhance operational transparency.

She holds an LL. B (Second Class Upper Division) from Kogi State University, Anyigba, a B.L. (Second Class Upper Division) from the Nigerian Law School, and a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies from the Federal University, Lokoja. She is also an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

Bolaji’s career reflects progressive responsibility across legal advisory and compliance roles in both corporate and consulting environments. She has served as Head of Legal and Compliance at BAS Group, Senior Legal Analyst at AFEX Commodities Exchange Limited, and Legal & Compliance Manager at Forecrest Consulting Limited. Earlier, she honed her skills as a Senior Associate Counsel at H. Michael & Co., Lagos, where she advised on corporate governance and commercial transactions.

Currently, Bolaji works as a Senior Associate at A & E Law Partnership where she serves as company secretary, corporate governance consultant and legal adviser to several leading oil and gas companies.  In this role, she manages board and shareholder engagements, ensures compliance with the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020 and the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) Code of Corporate Governance.

Her professional practice is marked by hands-on experience in drafting governance documents such as board charters, conflict of interest policies, compliance manuals, and ethics codes. She has acted as liaison with regulators, ensuring smooth filings and timely compliance with sector-specific regulations, particularly in the oil and gas industry.

Bolaji is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the NBA Section on Business Law, and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. She is widely regarded as a governance professional who brings clarity, structure, and accountability to boardrooms, enabling organizations to align business performance with best practices in law and corporate governance.
